Serving our Neighbors

"Which of these three, do you think, was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
- Luke 10:36-37
Our faith calls us to love and serve our neighbors - those who reside nearby as well as around the world. Here are some opportunities to be in service together on top of the ways you each attend to the needs of your neighbors throughout each and every day. If you know of other ways our community can serve together, let us know!
ELECTION DAY PRAYER VIGIL
Join us in covering the upcoming election in prayer! We need your help to pray all throughout election day. Sign up for a time slot, which are scheduled throughout the times polls are open in NC (plus a little later, as anyone in line at 7:30 when polls closed gets to cast their vote!). Wherever you are at that time, commit to spending a few minutes (or the full half hour) in prayer for the election, voters, candidates, election officials, and our community. This is an important and powerful act of peace in the face of a divided world.
You can find an election day prayer guide with some suggested prompts to guide your prayers at this link. (or here is a single column version that is easier to read on a mobile device.)
Sign up for a time slot at this link, and don't forget to set a reminder on your phone for your selected time.
